Ambassador Lee delivered a lecture at the Foreign Service Academy (Mar. 7th)

Ambassador Lee Jang-keun delivered a lecture on Korea-Bangladesh Relations and Korea’s Foreign Policy for the trainee officers in the 29th Specialized Diplomatic Training Course (SDTC) at the Foreign Service Academy (FSA) of Bangladesh on March 7th, 2023.

 

All of 16 junior-level diplomats including 11 Bangladeshi and 5 from Gambia, Maldives, Iraq, Nigeria, Kenya were keenly interested in Korea’s political, diplomatic, economic, social and cultural achievements in a relatively short period of time. Through a Q&A session, Ambassador Lee and trainees discussed upon a variety of topics including how to overcome the depopulation trend as a challenge that Korea currently faces, how to build cultural soft power up, how to resolve Rohingya Refugees issues in the long-term perspectives, etc.

 

During his lecture, Ambassador Lee explained Korea’s global, regional and national foreign & security policy along with Korea-Bangladesh bilateral economic relations and basic facts of the country including geo-demography, history, economic rise, trade, innovation, etc.

 

It was the 2nd time for Ambassador Lee to give a lecture to FSA trainees, following the first in December last year, upon invitation by Ambassador Mashfee Binte Shams, a Rector of FSA.
